All vine plants are composed of two parts:

- The rootstockThe rootstock, gives the roots to the vine plants, in the ground.
It allows :
- to fight against the phylloxera disease
- to adapt the vine to different soils: limestone, clay, sandy, but also wet, dry.

- The graft gives the grapes : Syrah, Merlot, Chardonnay, ...
